Cycling

cyclingWe have under cover storage facilities for your bikes and they can be secured by padlock and chain (please bring your own).  Bikes can be hired from www.devoncyclehire.co.uk who will deliver bikes to Dreamcatcher ready for your holiday.

National Cycle Route 27 (the Devon Coast to Coast) runs past the top of the track that leads to Dreamcatcher.  The full route stretches from Plymouth to Ilfracombe.

Route 27 includes the following off road sections;

The Granite Way (11 miles/18km)  that goes from Okehampton, across the Meldon Viaduct, all the way to cycling2Lydford Gorge.  Now entirely traffic free cycling, and I confess this is my absolute favourite with a cream tea at Lydford Gorge!

The Tarka Trail (32 miles/54 km).  This trail is entirely traffic free and can be done in sections.

The Plym Valley Trail (10 miles/15km), a gentle, meandering trail.

The Camel Trail which meanders through the Cornish countryside following a disused railway line from Blisland to Padstow.cycling4

Other routes that are easily accessible are;

West Country Way, The South Coast Route and a large number of local cycling options.
